Copyright Laws

Copyright laws are set of exclusice rights granted to the creator of original work, including the right to copy, distribute and adapt the work. These right can be licensed, transferred and/or assigned. Copyright last for a certain time period after which the work is said to enter the public domain.

Copyright as a property law was initially conceived of as a "chose in action", that is an intangible property, as opposed to tangible property. Tangible property is attached to the legal ownership of a physical item, hence the purchase of a book buys ownership of the book, but not the underlying copyright in the book's content.

Whilst using music in my media teaser trailer. I will have to obey these rules by giving credit to the original creator.
